One week and three days after the half-year mark...
"Ah asked you who sold you these items! This blade at your throat is of Cherokee design! Mah family's of Cherokee blood!"
Alyce Windrunner McArthur pressed the blade further into the pawn shop owner's skin, causing a bit of blood to be drawn. She had happened to be passing by this particular shop when she saw some items in the front display that had caught her attention. The items were a Native American tomahawk, knife, and choker, all of Cherokee make. Immediately, Alyce had stormed into the shop, snatched the items from the display, and started to heatedly question the man behind the counter. When he skirted around the issue, that's when she had knocked him down with her telekinetic ability and held the Native American knife to his throat.
"I t-told you! I d-don't k-know!" the owner of the pawn shop cried in answer, stuttering some of his words out of fear.
Alyce gritted her teeth and dug the knife a bit deeper, but not deep enough to slice his jugular. This drew even more blood.
"Then maybe you can tell me where Ah can find someone who can tell me?" she questioned, her green eyes narrowed.
The shop owner was sweating heavily now, but he replied, "T-try Oswald Cobblepot! H-he might know!"
Finally, some progress. Alyce knew that this guy had some information that he could give her. While it wasn't exactly what she wanted to hear, it was something nonetheless. Maybe, Mr. Cobblepot could give her the answers she really desired.
"Thank you," Alyce said before quickly pushing and running the knife cleanly along the man's jugular vein as if he were merely a dying buck that needed to be put out of its misery.
She then proceeded to take the same knife and remove his scalp by skinning what little hair he had left upon his head. After she was done, Alyce cleaned the knife on the man's shirt and put it, the tomahawk, and the fresh scalp, which she wrapped in a nearby plastic bag, into a black back-pack that she was wearing. Fortunately, she'd made it a point to start carrying a back-pack when out doing her free-running exercises. She then tied the four-row bone choker around her neck before casually exiting the pawn shop and heading for the only known location of Oswald Cobblepot. Frankly, Alyce was a bit nervous about going to the infamous Iceberg Lounge and approaching the Penguin. Oh, she knew who Oswald Cobblepot is, just like she knew of just about every other criminal and vigilante that made Gotham City their home. She'd read up on them before she had been incarcerated at Arkham Asylum a year and a half ago...
The Iceberg Lounge was only a few blocks from the shop she'd just exited, so instead of wasting her energy by using her telekinetic ability to help free-run her way there, Alyce simply jogged to the establishment. Once she reached the front doors and tried to enter, the large, burly, but well-dressed bouncers scrutinized her.
"Hey there, missy. You look a little young to be goin' in there, don't you think?" one of them asked.
Alyce turned her nose up at him and straightened out the black T-shirt and jogging pants that she was wearing, before she replied in her still-thick southern accent, "For your information, Ah'm twenty-two! Besides, Ah need to speak with Mr. Cobblepot. Is he available?"
The bouncers looked at one another, before the one that spoke to her first answered, "Uh, yeah, he's in there. Got any I.D.?"
With a mischievous grin playing upon her lips, Alyce reached out with her right hand and felt for the energy in and around the bouncer's neck by using her telekinetic ability. Once she found that energy, she began to squeeze the air in front of her, and along with it, the bouncer's neck. His face started to turn a nice shade of red, and then purple, before she let go. The other bouncer just stared, open-mouthed, at the scene taking place before him. The first bouncer fell to his knees after Alyce let go of him, coughing to regain his breath.
"Ah don't think Ah need to show mah I.D., now do Ah?" she asked, stepping past the bouncers, who gazed at her in both fear and awe, and into the Iceberg Lounge.
Hopefully, she could speak to the Penguin without too much trouble, or maybe, she would be lucky enough that he would approach her first...
