Overall
Name:
Marion Louise (Mary) Dahl
Code Name:
Baby Doll
Gender:
Female
Age:
32
Birth Date:
October 1
Affiliation:
Villain
Occupation:
Villainess and Gangster
Age Looks:
About 6 years
Appearance:
For all intends and purposes, Marion is physically a 6 year old girl with long blond hair, almost always set up in stylish curls, fair skin and green eyes. She wears bright purple dresses, white socks and black shoes, black ribbons keeping her hair up in a pair of pigtails. All in all an innocent looking girl, rather harmless and even cute, always seen with her doll which she clutches in her small hands.
Personality:
Marion displays what most might call dual behaviour. Nothing like Two-face, but she does change the way she act around people. She can be all child-like and innocent, playful and happy, displaying the demeanour of a child. Suddenly though, she can turn all serious and business like, reminding people that she is in fact no child, but a grown woman. Marion is used to having her way and can in fact get very nasty, if she is denied. Marion is also an expert at carrying a grudge, and can go on for years without letting something go.
Marion is quite temperamental, and more than prone to throw a fit of rage. She is a very egoistic woman, her own wishes and needs always having top priority in her eyes. She is, however, more than capable of working with others if the situation requires it. Marion Dahl isn’t all selfishness and rage though. She does in fact have a softer side, a more loving side, a side she very rarely displays except when in the company of her closest. So far, only her Crocky Wocky is considered that close though.
Background Info
Family:
None that is alive.
Background:
Marion Dahl grew up with a systemic Hypoplasia condition that halted her body growth while still a child. Her mental growth did continue normally though, her condition not affecting her intellect even in the slightest.
She became an actress and got the lead role in a comedy series. Marion Dahl herself played Baby-Doll, who was adored on the screen due to her mischievous antics and her cutesy "I didn't mean to" defence. But in real life she quickly turned into a very unpleasant woman and with her temper, she was hard to work with.
After some trouble with a fellow actor on the show, she left the show claiming she didn't get enough exposure, causing the show to be cancelled. Unknown to her, she threw away the highpoint of her life. Marion Dahl decided to study drama and become a dramatic actress. However, her first attempt, a rendition of Macbeth, was a flop and when she attempted to revive "Love That Baby", the comedy series that had brought her to success, the studios turned her down. 10 years later, Marion returned from obscurity, trying to abduct all her former fellow actors, wanting to force them to live with her like the family they used to be on the show. Having failed her attempt to kill them all, Marion was stopped by Batman after a battle with him in an amusement park; the climax of the battle taking place in a hall of mirrors. She then surrendered; realizing what she tried to create was an illusion.
Some years later, with her sanity partially restored, Mary tried to get gainful employment working in obscurity as a hotel manager, but a brutal encounter with a fan of her character from "Love That Baby" nearly got her fired after she beat him up with her guest book. Returning home to her apartment in frustration, she watched as Killer Croc got into a brawl during a televised court hearing, feeling empathy for his situation of being a physical outcast. She visited him in his prison cell to offer him an escape in exchange for a partnership. She then engineered the escape by finding out the route of the transport truck holding Killer Croc. She appeared in front of the transport truck on it's path, appearing to be a innocent child about to be run over, causing the drivers to pull off over the edge of the road, toppling the truck. From that point, Killer Croc and Baby Doll went on crime sprees together throughout Gotham City, keeping the likes of Batman at bay. They did split up at a later point, but some kind of emotions does remain between the two criminals, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone if they came to work together again.
With the disappearance of Batman, and having nothing else to do with her life, Marion has started to build up a criminal organisation of her own, etching out a niche of her own, her ruthless methods gaining her some renown. Of course, she is nowhere near the likes of Penguin, but she is slowly gaining power, having become a force to reckon with.
Abilities
Powers/abilities:
Equipment:
• Various child-based weapons (such as a rattle which shoots out a knock-out gas or a toy gun with suction cup projectiles that emits painful electrical jolts.)
• Mr Bubblehead: Marion’s favourite doll, his body or head can hide all kinds of guns.
Mr Bubblehead
Marion does not possess any actual powers, besides the fact that she is one of the few, if not the only one, who can cuddle with Killer Croc without fear of being maimed. Seems she has created a soft spot for herself in his heart. However, among her skills are:
• High level actress: Baby Doll, being a talented actress with many years of experience is capable of easily disappearing in a crowd or make nearly any opponent look like the bad guy if witnesses are around.
• Dual Voice: With all her many years of acting experience, Marion possess enough mastery of her vocal cords to speak with the voice of a child as well as an adult.
• Keen intellect: Marion is actually a smart woman, able to come up with rather intricate plans. She has also displayed the ability to understand things and how they function rather quickly, like the time she easily sent a nuclear power plant towards a complete meltdown using the plant’s own control consoles, despite never having worked in a nuclear power plant before.
• Agility: Surprisingly, Marion has displayed feats of great agility. Nothing near the levels of most of the Bat-family or elite-gymnast level villains like Harley Quinn, but still impressive considering that she is trapped in the body of a child.
• Negotiation/manipulation: Being a child has never really stopped Marion from getting what she wanted, and one of the reasons for this is her ability to negotiate with- and manipulate people. She is in fact so skilled that she can easily find and hire goons to do her bidding, even if she isn’t in possession of the money required.
Strengths:
- Marion is very manipulative and resourceful, capable of using most
situations to her own advantage, as well as manipulate those around her.
- Marion is very intelligent and sneaky, capable of laying very intricate plans and traps as well as very inventive when it comes to camouflaging her weapons.
-Her Unique relation with Killer Croc can and is considered quite a strength as well as a boon, for obvious reasons, having a monster like him liking you is very useful.
-Goons! Due to her negotiant abilities Marion is always capable of finding people willing to help her and work for her.
Weaknesses:
• She has the body of a child and all weaknesses that follows this.
• Marion is at least partially insane, which in itself is a weakness.
• Marion has quite the temper, which can be exploited.

Total silence. Everything was quiet and peaceful, a single bedside lamp illuminating the surroundings. Marion was sleeping in her little bed, wearing her purple nightie. It had been a long day filled with crime and fun and it was only an hour ago that she had tucked herself in for the night. Suddenly, small ripples formed on the surface of the pond at the eastern end of the cave and the huge, scaly body of a monstrous figure rose from the pitch-black waters. It’s glowing; yellow eyes focused on the apparent small girl, sleeping in its lair, its dark red tongue flicking across its lips as it gathered her scent.
It slowly moved closer, still impressively soundless, a wicked grin on it’s face. Slowly, like a predator sneaking up on it’s prey, the large, scaly monstrosity moved closer until it stood above the sleeping form of Marion, a peaceful smile on her face as she slept her innocent sleep. The creature licked its lips as it leant down; its eyes glowing greedily as its face remained inches from the sleeping girl. It then planted a kiss on her forehead as it said with a deep rumble. “I’m home, pipsqueak...”
Marion’s eyes flew open as she looked up at that monstrous, toothy face, nearly squealing as she shouted with childish glee, jumping and hugging against his chest. “Crocky Wocky! There you are!” Killer Croc chuckled as he lifted the small girl until they were face to face. “So…how was your day?” Crock asked as she hugged his wide chin. “Been good, missed you though…I was so worried Batman had captured you” Marion said, using her serious, adult voice. It was true too; she had been worried sick that her Crocky Wocky had been captured. Killer Croc only laughed, gently shaking his head. “Nah…I got his scent…I know when he is around…” Marion sighed in relief, feeling reassured and confident that Croc could take care of himself.
The giant beast that was Killer Croc, smirked at her expression as she clung to his soaked shirt, her own nightie getting just as soaked in the process. Not that she minded at all, if it meant being close to him. “We better get you changed out of that you know... wouldn’t like for you to catch a cold or something.” Croc said as he carried Marion to the wardrobe standing in a corner of the cave. As he rummaged through it, Croc looked down at the small child with a woman’s soul beside him. “Hey, pipsqueak… how come you’ve never been afraid that I’d eat you? It’s not like I’ve tried to hide the fact that those rumours are true.” He said, licking his teeth as he loomed above her in a rather terrifying manner. Terrifying to anyone but Marion that is.
“That’s because I know you would never harm me, silly! You’re my Crocky Wocky!” she answered in her childish voice, smiling up at him as she hugged his leg. And it was true, Marion was certain that Croc would never harm her intentionally, that he would always keep an eye out for her. Killer Croc nodded quietly, smiling as he handed her a fresh nightie. “True...I would gladly eat all of Gotham, maim every last one of them…Except you pipsqueak… you’re the one exception..” Marion smiled, giving his leg one more squeeze before she took the nightie, starting to change as croc turned his back on her. Marion couldn’t help finding it a little cute. He was adorable in his own way, despite the way he looked. Once she was done she pulled at Croc’s pants leg, Croc turning around to lift her into his arms, carrying her to her bed once more, making sure that Marion was kept dry this time.. “Now… I think we both need some sleep, pipsqueak.” Croc said as he placed her in her bed once more, lying down beside her on the rocky floor of the cave.
Marion smiled as she laid down, resting her head on her pillow. “Sleep well Croc…” she said in a quiet voice, but the only answer she got was a soft snore, the giant beside her already sleeping. Marion couldn’t help but chuckle as she, too, drifted off to sleep.
